up very late. spoke to old roommate today. i miss the good old days.
discussed bell curves and gay marriages with b tonight. i didn't realize how naive i was about the laws. i still am surprised that gay marriages are not recognized yet. that's just nuts.

going to the elementary school tomorrow. 2 weeks ago i helped a girl read a book about harriet tubman. i had to define slavery for her. it's strange to teach someone about slavery. made me feel a lot of responsibility. i was honored. last week i helped a boy read a book based on greek mythology. i'm impressed with how much this series has improved his knowledge of vocabulary. i always learn knew things in the second grade. it makes me appreciate pencils and construction paper and crayons and chapter books.
