Ack - spam

I've been getting these spam comments on my blog lately, so I had to turn off comments for my last entry.

Life is good. I still don't think I have the "right" job for me, but I feel like I'm doing something good for the world everyday. As a teacher, you can make a positive difference in someone's life, or you can make someone's life really shitty. It's important not to get too rapt up in discipline. It's only about 10% of the kids that need redirecting, and half the time I can't blame them. I read an interesting article in Time Magazine a few months back about the teenage brain and how the decision-making part of the brain is underdeveloped at that point. It makes a lot of sense when I see it in action. Things around here seem different from when I was in middle school. They're still kids. They don't seem to have the same social pressures. It makes me wonder if I was in an especially tough school or if it was all in my head. Relational aggression among girls can be brutal.

I'm having a candle party in 3 weeks. Everytime I tell a girl, she things it'll be fun and every time I tell a guy, he cringes. It's like a newage tupperware party but with candles. www.partylite.com but with younger people.
